Custom Massage Services

Every massage utilizes multiple techniques to address each client’s unique needs and goals. The following are some descriptions of techniques I have training in that are available to you when you book your appointment:

Trigger Point

Targeted therapeutic work that breaks down the “knots” in your problem areas to provide long-lasting relaxation and increase freedom of movement.

Neuromuscular Therapy

This technique can be employed to help increase your range of motion via targeted movements in order to address chronic pain, postural, and range of motion issues on a deeper level than stretching. I use the most current research available to inform my work.

Myofascial

Addresses the very strong connective tissue that’s wrapped around each muscle and helps transmit force. When this tissue adheres to itself it can cause, dysfunction and pain. This technique helps free your body of adhesions to provide increased comfort and ease of movement.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage addresses your muscles and connective tissue below the surface with deep pressure Swedish massage strokes combined with myofascial techniques, to provide relief from severe all-over tension.

“Sports Massage”

Athletic and active people will benefit from this style of massage therapy. It combines Deep Tissue and Trigger Point techniques with stretching techniques to promote healing and provide immediate relief from tension and pain, so you can get back to life faster. Long-term treatment plans can include cross-fiber therapy for scar tissue remediation as well as neuromuscular therapy to increase range and ease of movement in targeted areas.

TMJ Therapy

If you grind or clench your teeth having the muscles involved can provide intense immediate relief and long-lasting reduction of the severity of your dysfunction, especially when you receive regular treatments over time. Jaw tension is an autonomic reflex related to stress levels that can cause or contribute to headaches, neck pain, face, tooth, and jaw pain, and a general sense of unease. I offer both external and internal manipulation of the muscles of the jaw and suggest both for the best results.

Relaxation Massage

Gentle Swedish and Myofascial techniques will be employed to soothe your nervous system and increase circulation, with extra time will be spent on the feet, hands, and scalp to guide your body into a deeper state of relaxation.

Lymph Drainage Massage

Important help for recovery from edema due to surgery, accident or illness. Gentle work that will help reduce swelling, which can be painful if unchecked. Increasing circulation is known to help speed wound healing. Also, after a traumatic event a gentle massage can help decrease your bodies stress levels and get into resting/healing mode faster.

$100/HR base rate plus travel fee for Zones 2-4
